Who Do I Help?
I help individuals (from 8 years old to 80) and couples to find their voices so they can make positive changes in their life even when that feels overwhelming and out of reach.
When you’re struggling, every day can feel never-ending.
People have come to me many times saying “I just don’t want to be here,” and “It’s just too hard”.
A man in his 30’s recently told me how great it is to have a safe place to talk freely without burdening his wife and family or causing them to worry about him.
Feeling listened to, and supported, can mean so much during your journey to better mental health.
As your counsellor, I will spend time working with you to create a plan to help you work towards rebuilding your life and making lasting, positive changes.
You can improve your emotional wellbeing even if it feels overwhelming and out of reach.
Repeated Listening is so important, and I do it well, by providing professional and non-judgemental counselling and coaching in the heart of Tavistock.

About Me
I became a counsellor after working professionally with a young mother who was about to have her fourth child taken for adoption. I spent time with her and her little one whilst she gave the child its last bottle and nappy change.
This experience was far from easy for me, but it was really traumatic for her. I tried to find emotional and psychological support for her but, to my horror, she was on her own!
It was at that moment I decided this just wasn’t good enough. I gathered information on retraining, looked at my life and where I could meet the commitment, and set myself a five-year plan.
I have been qualified for over two decades, having worked with people from all walks of life, helping them change their lives.
I understand that seeking help takes a tremendous amount of strength and courage and that talking to someone who can listen without judgement can make a big difference in the way you feel.
I believe that you are the expert on your life, your experiences and how they’ve affected you, your relationships, and your hopes and dreams. By taking the time to explore your narrative, you will see the changes you need to make and what a difference that can mean.
My role is to offer you what I call guided discovery. I don’t tell you what to do or give you advice but instead, listen and work to facilitate your needs. This can lead to an amazing and life-changing experience and a whole new outlook on life.
